Coast to Coast Design, LLC offers kitchen and bath design services as well as interior design and design consulting.

Owner and designer, Erin R. Machaj works one-on-one with clients to ensure that they receive the quality service they deserve. Taking the time to listen to a client’s plans and ideas for a space is key to creating an ideal design. She will continue to work with you until you are completely satisfied.

History

Coast to Coast Design, LLC is a design company local to western Washington and was founded in 2011 in Redmond, WA.

Erin R. Machaj, founder, decided to start a company that would provide homeowners with custom, as well as budget friendly design services. After working for several other kitchen and bath showrooms, she discovered those jobs were more focused on sales of product and less about design, leading her to start Coast to Coast Design. Now her focus is entirely on creating beautiful designs custom tailored to her client’s needs.

Erin R. Machaj, founder, decided to start a company that would provide homeowners with custom yet budget friendly designs that fit their needs and wants. After working for several other kitchen and bath showrooms, she discovered those jobs were more about sales and less about design, leading her to start Coast to Coast Design. Now her focus is entirely on creating beautiful designs.

Erin graduated from Virginia Tech in 2008, with a degree in Housing . Her main focus while at Virginia Tech was on Kitchen and Bath Design . During her studies she interned for a kitchen and bath design company located in Fredericksburg, VA, where she fell in love with design. Upon graduation she worked for a small, local cabinet shop until she began her career as a full-time designer for DirectBuy. After moving to Seattle, WA she began a working with a local showroom in Edmonds, WA, where she worked designing and selling cabinetry and countertops.

Starting a business of her own was a goal that she had since completing her studies at Virginia Tech. Helping people see the potential in their homes through design is what Erin finds most rewarding. With her business she has helped several families over the years rediscover that same joy within their own homes.

In 2016, Erin and her husband David welcomed their first child. Erin spent the first year at home with their daughter along with juggling business and design work. In 2020, she welcomed their second child just as the world shut down for Covid-19. Spending that time at home with her family was rewarding, challenging and something she wouldn’t trade for anything else in the world.

Over the last several years Erin has changed her focus to design only, and no longer offers product sales or project management. She still has relationships with several suppliers throughout the area, ranging from cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures and more, and is happy to assist in directing clients to those supplies. She also still has contractors that she can recommend if a client needs that service. After having her children, Erin discovered she still loves all things design focused, but also values her time with her children and husband the most, leading her to change her services to design only.
